Marvin L. Clementich, 84, Burlington, ND, died Monday, January 7, 2008 in a Minot hospital.

Marvin was born on October 14, 1923, in rural Foxholm, ND, the son of Joseph and Mae (Colton) Clementich. He attended country school and in his youth worked for a local farmer as a farm hand.

He married Lilly Hanson on June 10, 1946, in Miles City, MT. The couple made their home in Burlington and Minot where Marvin worked for the North Dakota Highway Department for over 44 years retiring in 1989. After his retirement Marvin drove a Motor Grader for the city of Burlington and he and Lilly enjoyed traveling throughout North Dakota, making several trips to Medora.

Marvin loved gardening, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and restoring old Model A's some of which he drove in Burlington Parades. Marvin's brothers and sisters were very musical and he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and the accordion.

He was a member of Moose Lodge in Minot and was very active with his coffee club of retired Highway Department employees in the Minot area.

Survivors: wife, Lilly, Burlington; daughter, Carol Newman, Minot; sons, Marvin (Barbara) Clementich, Minot and Curtis (Nancy) Clementich, Karlsruhe, ND; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Volk, Reedsburg, WI, Phyllis Elixman, Spokane, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mae Clementich, and his stepmother, Cleo Clementich, his daughter, Diana Turrin, great-grandson, Lauritz Hanson V; brother, Robert Clementich who died on January 5, 2008, in Spokane, WA; and sisters, Marie Duhamel, Gladys Holter, Evelyn Goebel and Virginia Rudolf.

Funeral Service: Friday, January 11, 2008, 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Today from Noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot

Officiant: Rev. Don Andrews, chaplain at Trinity Health, Minot
