Ione (Mehus) Clementich
• 1928 - 2007 Thelma Ione Mehus was born June 1, 1928, the daughter of Theodore and Ida (Ronglien) Mehus on the family farm near Hartland, ND. She attended Berthold schools and later Hartland schools. As a young adult, she assisted her parents with the day to day operations and chores of the family farm. Ione baby sat for several Minot families as a young woman. She later worked as a nurses assistant at Trinity Nursing Home and ManorCare Health Services for many years. She has also worked in home health care for the elderly. Ione was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hartland, and was most recently affiliated with Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, embroidery work, and loved to spend time with her family. Surviving family includes: daughter, Wanda Olson and her special
friend, Dale Martinson, both of Minot; grandchildren, Jesse Olson
and Melissa Olson; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Colton, and Brody
Olson; sister, Elaine (Lyle) Johnson, Minot; Ione was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Asmun "Dick" Asmundson; daughter, Shelley; sisters, Gladys Harris, Alice Lee, Hazel Vedvig, and Inez Mehus; brother, Tarley Mehus; and infant brother, Perdin Mehus. Funeral: Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m.
