Roger E. Christ • 1935 - 2004 Roger E. Christ, 68, 11801 Highway 2&52 West, Burlington, ND, died Friday, February 20, 2004. He was born December 3, 1935, in New Rockford, ND, the son of Emil and Irma (Schley) Christ. He attended school in New Rockford and graduated from New Rockford High School. Roger operated and helped his mother with the family farm after his father's death. On September 29, 1961, Roger married Jeanette Beatty in New Rockford. The couple continued farming in New Rockford. In 1964, they moved to Minot, where Roger was employed by Bridgeman Creamery as a plant technician and truck driver. He retired in December of 1997. During his retirement, he enjoyed working part time for Verendrye Electric Coop as a meter reader. Roger was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, where he served on the church council. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Aerie and the Magic City Antique Car Club, all of Minot. He was a past member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, dancing and restoring old tractors and pickups. Survivors: wife, Jeanette, Burlington, two daughters, Lauri (Tom) Kohler, Benedict, ND, and Caela (Monte) Bianchi, Yakima, WA; five grandchildren, Chase, Cammie and Charlene Kohler, Benedict, and Taylor and Eric Underdahl, Yakima; sisters, Marvel (Rodney) Ebehahan, Sheyenne, ND, and Peggy (Joe) Henry, Crookston, MN; sister-in-law, Connie (Jim) Bauer, Hazen, ND; brother-in-law, Frank (Pat) Beatty, Grand Rapids, MN; several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 24, 2004, 1 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington. Visitation: Monday, February 23, 2004, from Noon until 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Cremation will take place after the funeral.
