Wayne E. Christianson was born January 3, 1940, a son of Chris and Marie (Mickelson) Christianson, in Glenburn, ND.  He was raised and educated in Glenburn.

Wayne married Wylora “Dawn” Asbe September 3, 1961, in Carpio, ND. They made their home in Glenburn, ND. In 1965, they moved to Lignite, where he worked for Stevens Welding. In 1972, he started his own welding business, which was Wayne’s Welding, and also had worked in the oil fields in Lignite and Tioga. In 1987, they moved to Powers Lake, ND, where he continued in the welding business and he and Dawn purchased the Stable’s Bar.

Surviving family includes
wife of 48 years, Dawn, Powers Lake; children, Darcy Christianson, Jamestown, Daryn Christianson, Sidney, MT, and Tanya (Doug) Krift, Alexandria, KY; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Christianson, Powers Lake, and Leslie (Sandy) Christianson, Glenburn; sister, MaryAnn Richardson, Grand Junction, CO; and several nieces, and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Marie Christianson; daughter, Tracy Christianson; sisters, Christine Christianson, Lorna Brewer, Carol Vaagen, and Janis Voeller; brothers, Norris, Adrian, Gary, and Phillip Christianson.

Memorial Service: Friday, April 23, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Powers Lake.

Interment:
  First Lutheran Cemetery, Carpio, ND.

Visitation:
There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book on Friday one hour prior to the service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Powers Lake.
