Ralph Harry Christianson
1930 - 2004 Ralph Harry Christianson, 73, Glenburn, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at his home. He was born on April 13, 1930, on the family farmstead east of Glenburn, ND, the son of Morris and Ida (Haugen) Christianson. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Glenburn except for the two years he attended Minot High School. Ralph graduated from Glenburn High School in 1948. Ralph entered the United States Army in 1951, and served as a metal machinist. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1953. On October 25, 1953, he married Virginia Johnson in Maxbass, ND. Following their marriage Ralph and Virginia bought a farm east of Glenburn where they raised their three children. Ralph was a member of First Baptist Church in Glenburn and was also a member of the Glenburn American Legion Post # 280. He was an avid carpenter and enjoyed making projects with wood and metal. He loved playing cards and games with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his gentle patient spirit. Survivors: wife, Virginia, Glenburn; sons, Trent (Kari) Christianson, Bismarck, ND, and Kurt (Rhonda) Christianson, Minot, ND; daughter, Jayne (Steve) Routledge, Minot; grandchildren, Landon, Miranda, Abbie, Hunter, Joshua and Sarah; brothers, Tilfred (Maxine) Christianson, Minot, Conrad (Agnes) Christianson, Glenburn, Lester (Pearl) Christianson, Garrison, ND, and Donald (Sally) Christianson, Minot; sisters, Myrtle (Nels) Snustad, Moorhead, MN, and Georgia Johnson, Minot; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Irvin and brother-in-law, C.M. Johnson. Funeral Service: Monday, March 22, 2004, at 1 p.m. First Baptist Church, Glenburn, ND. Visitation: Saturday March 20, 2004 and Sunday, March 21, 2004, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot. Burial at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
