Lois Ardel Christianson 1928 - 2003

Lois Ardel Christianson, 75, Kenaston, ND, died Monday, December 8, 2003, at the SCCI hospital in Mandan.

Lois was born August 28, 1928, in Ryder, ND, to Leonard and Agnes (Hanson) Peterson. She graduated from Kenmare High School.

Lois married Gordon Christianson, on July 19, 1947, in Minot. They made their home in Kenmare, where they raised their three children. In the late 1950's she began working at EsCaDel International Implement in Kenmare. She retired from there in 1974, when they moved to Kenaston, ND.

Lois devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and doing cross-word puzzles.

Survivors: Husband, Gordon Christianson, Kenaston; sons, Lee (DeAnn) Christianson, and Kent Christianson, all of Bakersfield, CA; daughter, Terry (Lacy) Grubb, Battleview; grandsons, Kayo (Shelbi) Grubb, Battleview, Clint Grubb, Houston, TX, and Tyler Grubb, Battleview; great-granddaughters, Kinzi and Hanna Grubb; brothers, Glenn Peterson, Boy River, MN, Loel Peterson, Minneapolis, MN, and Leonard James Peterson, Sacramento, CA; sister, Donna (Kenny) Christensen, Howard Lake, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Donovan Peterson.

Funeral: Saturday, December 13, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, ND.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare.

Burial: Saturday at 1:00 p.m., at Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.

Officiants: Rev. Dick Owens and Rev. James "Pete" Weist

Music: Special Music by Lois' grandson, Kayo Grubb, accompanied by Rev. James "Pete" Weist. Congregational Hymns, "Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" Joan Larson, organist.

Active Pallbearers: Lacy Grubb, Kayo Grubb, Clint Grubb, Tyler Grubb, Duane Golde, Clyde Golde.
