Ruby Christensen 1916 - 2008 Ruby Caroline Christensen was born November 5, 1916, the daughter of Gustav and Josephine (Footh) Lindberg on the family farm located in Vanville Township of Burke County, North Dakota. She was raised in the Lostwood area and attended Kandiyohi Country School. Ruby was united in marriage to Arthur Christensen September 6, 1933, in Bowbells, ND. They made their home on a farm located in Kandiyohi Township of Burke County, ND. They farmed small grains and raised livestock. Arthur passed away December 25, 1985. She continued to reside on the farm until February 2005, when she moved into the Kenmare Baptist Home. In February of 2007, she moved into the Kenmare Nursing Home. She was a member of Elmdale Lutheran Church, Niobe, and its ladies aid. She was also a member of the Spencer Baden Farmers Union and was a 4H Youth Leader. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning and fishing. Surviving family includes: sons, Delmer (Shirley) Christensen, Kenmare, Kenneth (Donna) Christensen, Howard Lake, MN, Harold (Juline) Christensen, Waverly, MN, and Jay (Dorothy) Christensen, Bismarck; daughters, Berniece (Floyd) Halvorson, Missoula, MT, and Irene (Rodney) Olson, Tioga; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Dolly) Lindberg, Stanley, ND; sister-in-law, Frances Lindberg, Stanley, ND; numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; brothers, Walter Lindberg and his wife Clara; and Lester Lindberg; and sisters, Edna Grinolds and her husband, Frank, and Helen Parker. Funeral: Monday, February 25, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at
