David Chatfield 1938 - 2005 David Chatfield, 66, PO Box 571, Niobe, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005, in his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born on December 23, 1938, in Pontiac, MI, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Hayword) Chatfield. He was reared and educated in Pontiac. David started driving truck right out of high school. On December 23, 1995, he chose Vera Floyd for his life long companion in Fairbanks, Alaska. In 1995, David and Vera moved to North Dakota and purchased a farm in Niobe. In 1996, David and Vera started Adventure Trucking and traveled coast to coast. David retired from trucking in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Vera, Niobe, Dave's little girl (his puppy) Dakota Jane, at home sons, David and Blaine Chatfield, Pontiac, MI; step-daughter, Lois Faye Weathers, Medford, OR; step-son, Porter Wayne Gilbert, Grant Pass, OR; and sister, Lillian Chatfield, Boca Raton, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Chatfield. Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at 10 a.m. at David's home in Niobe. Visitation: Tuesday, August 9, 2005, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at David's home in Niobe. Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare, ND |
