Kenneth Chambers 1930 - 2005 Kenneth Chambers, 74, 1215 7th St. SW, Minot, ND, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 in his home. Kenneth was born on August 25, 1930, in Minot to Harold and Virdilla (Wasson) Chambers. He was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1949. He married Evelyn Sand in Minot on August 7, 1949 in Minot. He entered into the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict and was discharged in 1953 with the rank of Sergeant. After his discharge he moved back to Minot, where he was first employed by Keating Furniture Company and then began employment with Northern States Power Company in 1953 working in the meter department retiring from there in 1992. Kenneth was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Minot. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and was a North Dakota Heritage Center Founder. He was a former member of the Minot Eagles Club and the American Legion in Minot. In his younger days, Kenneth liked to hunt and fish and he was a member of the Northern States Power Company Curling Team. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Evelyn Chambers, Minot; daughter, Sheree (Jay) Diede, Watford City, ND, beloved grandson, Sage Diede, Watford City; great granddaughter, Rylee Morken; sister, Vivian Vandenoever, Minot; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ervin Chambers.
