Rene' Cartier Rene' was born in Quebec Canada and raised in Massachusetts. In 1953, Rene' started his military life enlisting in the United States Air Force. In 1957, Rene' was married to his wife, Barbara Cartier, who passed in 2007. Rene' spent 26 years in the United States Air Force being stationed in Massachusetts, Italy, Vietnam and lastly Minot Air Force Base. Rene' retired from active duty with the United States Air Force in 1979 and made Minot their home. Rene' then started a second career in janitorial maintenance, working for Herberger's and Jim Ryan before finally permanently retiring in 1998. Rene' is survived by his four children and four grandchildren. Brian

Rene is also survived by his two Rene' will be placed to rest with his loving wife Barbara at Rosehill Memorial Park There will be a private family memorial to honor Rene'. Contributions and memorials in Rene's memory, according to his wishes, can be made to the Souris River Animal Shelter and Minot Vocational Workshop. Remembrances to the family can be sent in care of Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, to be forwarded to the family.
