Barbara Jean Cartier Barbara was born and raised in Northampton, Mass. In October 1957, Barbara and Rene' Cartier were married in Holyoke, Mass. The couple started a family and began their journey of a 26 year military life together being stationed in Massachusetts, Aviano Italy and finally Minot Air force Base, ND, before retiring in Minot. Barbara's life was filled with many roles - wife, mother, sister. She provided years of service with the Minot Public Schools. She also worked in various local Minot restaurants and hotels before retiring herself in 2000. She had a passion for reading many books from the Minot Public Library. Since retiring, she enjoyed traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rene'; four children, Brian Cartier, Steven Cartier, Susan Cartier and Aimee and her husband Jeff Boncosky; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Cartier, Brandon Cartier, Brooke Boncosky and Charlie Boncosky, and her sister, Suzanne Mehan and her husband Tim Mehan. There will be a private family memorial to honor Barbara. She will be placed to rest at Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot, ND. Contributions and memorials in Barbara's memory, according
to her wishes, can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research
