Paul N. Carr 1923 - 2008 Paul was born on September 27, 1923 near Deering, ND to Henry and Mary (Norsby) Carr. He was raised on a farm near Deering and educated at Deering School, graduating in 1941. He farmed there until 1964, when he moved to Minot. Paul married Evelyn Reiser in Minot on September 29, 1967. They moved to Seattle where Paul was employed at Boeing. In 1969, Paul and Evelyn moved to Surrey and purchased the Silver Spur. They also bought the gas station in Surrey and started Carr's RV Sales which they ran for many years until they retired. Paul served 16 years on the Deering Township Board and 16 years as an Alderman on the Surrey City Council. He was a former member of the Elks, Eagles and Moose Clubs. Paul and Evelyn loved to travel. They bought their first motor home in 1976 and spent many winters in Arizona. They had also traveled to Hawaii. Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Evelyn, Minot; stepson, Morrie (Sharon) Reiser, Minot; four grandchildren: Kimberly (Timothy) Kuntz, Minot, Randy Reiser, Valley City, ND, Laura Reiser, El Paso, TX, Todd Reiser, El Paso, TX; four great-grandchildren: sisters, Helen Mueller, Upham, and Betty Smith, Granville; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Larry Reiser; a special granddaughter, Sarah Reiser; brothers, Dale and Lynn; brothers-in-law, Leo Mueller and Fred Nelson; and sister-in-law, Irene Nelson. Visitation: Sunday, March 2, 2008 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot with a prayer service at 5 p.m. in the Chapel. Funeral Service: Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, Minot Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot Officiant: Rev.
