David M. Carpenter • 1942 - 2010 David Merlin Carpenter was born on May 5, 1942, a son of Merlin F. and Bernice E. (Garrison) Carpenter in Glendale, CA. He was raised and educated in Devils Lake, ND. David enjoyed working on vehicles and motorcycles. He worked for Fisher Motors and Don Bessette in the detailing department. In his later years, he worked as a painter. David enjoyed visiting with his friends, watching The Price Is Right and cooking shows, making fudge and gardening. He had a great sense of humor, and always enjoyed a good joke. Those who shared in his life: Children: Scott (Cari) Gates, Dallas, TX, John (Darcy) O’Connor, Minot, ND, Eric Carpenter, Minot, ND Loni Carpenter, Douglas, ND; four grandchildren; siblings: Janet (Kirk) Carpenter-Westfall, Albuquerque, NM, Dennis (Carolyn) Carpenter, Minot, Greg (Maria) Carpenter, Minot; David was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Bonnie Sharon Carpenter. Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, people may sign a register book on Thursday from 9 am until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Memorial Service: Thursday, February 4, 2010, 11 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot Burial: A private family burial will take place at a later time.
