Marilyn Lorna Carlson 1946 - 2011

Marilyn Carlson PhotoMarilyn Lorna (Walters) Carlson, 64, Minot died Friday, January 21, 2011 in a Minot hospital.

Marilyn was born July 1, 1946, a daughter of Luther ‘Bud’ and Bernice (Monson) Walters in Minot, ND. She attended school in Benedict and Max. She furthered her education, graduating from Joseph’s Beauty School in 1986.

In 1967, Marilyn was united in marriage to Howard Endicott II. They lived in West Virginia and Ohio. She returned to Minot in 1973. In 1977, Marilyn was united in marriage to Ron Carlson. She worked as a nurses assistant at Trinity Homes.

If Marilyn met someone for the first time they never remained a stranger. She loved a joke or a good story and was willing to share them. Her presence will be missed by all her family and more recently, her friends at Dakota Terrace Apartments. 

She is survived by:
                Children: Debbi Endicott, Carlton, OR, Ted (Connie) Endicott, Columbus, OH, Christopher Carlson, Minot, ND; Brother Lewelyn (Jackie) Walters, Carlton, OR; sister: Darlene (Tim) Schnaible, Burlington, ND; sister-in-law: Isabella Walters, Norco, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Yvette Endicott  and a brother Dale.

Visitation:  Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 2-7 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service:  Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11 am at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, ND

Burial:  Zion Lutheran cemetery, Max, ND in the spring of 2011
