Arthur Carlson 1920 - 2008 Arthur K. Carlson was born July 1, 1920, a son of Jens and Margaret (Winquist) Carlson in Norma, ND. He was raised and educated in Norma, ND. Arthur enlisted in the United States Army March 27, 1942. He proudly served his country during WWII and was honorably discharged October 2, 1945. Arthur married Hazel Larson September 7, 1947, in Kenmare,
ND. They made their home in Minot, where he was employed by Honeyboy
Bakery as a truck driver and Bridgeman Creamery as a truck driver.
He was then employed at Minot Public Schools as a custodian,
retiring after working at Edison Elementary School for 22 years. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and attended Immanuel Baptist Church, Minot. He loved hunting, fishing, bowling, and enjoyed going for coffee with his family and many friends. His loving family includes: Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Carlson; and sister, Edith Hansen. Funeral: Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 10:30 a.m.
