Archibald "Duke" Campbell • 1917 - 2010

Archibald “Duke” Campbell, 93, Minot, died Friday, September 24, 2010, in a Minot hospital.

Archie D. Campbell was born September 18, 1917, in Minot, ND, the son of Allan and Annie (Price) Campbell.  He was raised on the family farm in Freedom Township of Ward County south of Minot and educated in Freedom #3 school.  He farmed with his father and brothers in Freedom Township for 70 years.  In 1987 he moved to Minot.  Archie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and checking on his crops.  He traveled to England four times.

Archie was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Minot. He was also a member of Freedom Farmers Union Local, and was a former member of the Moose and Elks Clubs in Minot.

Surviving family includes: numerous cousins and friends

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Annie Campbell; brother, John and William Campbell; and sister, Jessie.

Funeral: Monday, September 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, Minot.

Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation:  Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to All Saints Episcopal Church or Rosehill Memorial Park, both of Minot.
