Michael Buechler 1950- 2006 Michael Lee "Rocketman" Buechler was born on March 6, 1950, the son of Eleanor Buechler in Minot, ND. He was adopted by his grandparents Mike and Polly Buechler. He was reared and educated in Sawyer, ND and graduated from Sawyer school in 1968. Michael was united in marriage to Sherry Marcil. Together the couple had two children, a son and daughter. They later divorced. He then married Peggy Brostad, they made their home in Sawyer, and had one daughter together. He worked construction and on missile sites where acquired
the nickname, "Rocketman." He also worked on the Power
Plants at the Falkirk mine Michael and Dean Putney once operated
a bait shop in Pick City. He is survived by: Wife of 27 years, Peggy, Sawyer, ND; children:
Richard (Christine) Buechler, Minot; Destynie Kennedy, Pocatello,
ID; Jessika Buechler, Sawyer, ND; three grandchildren: Karl,
Tyler and Daryen. sister: Lorry Lund, Sawyer, ND; brother, Robert
"Jerry" Dietrich, Minot, ND; He was preceded in death by his mother, and grandparents. Visitation: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from 9 a.m. until service time at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Burial: A private family burial will take place.
