Lottie Vivian Brusven 1917 - 2004

Lottie Vivian Brusven, 87, Minot, died Friday, August 27, 2004, in a Minot nursing home.

Lottie was born June 30, 1917, in Gasman Township, Ward County, ND, the daughter of Henry O. and Mina (Holen) Hanson. She was raised in Gasman Township and later moved to Sawyer with her family. Lottie received her education in both South Prairie and Sawyer schools, with the exception of two years in Minot.

On January 9, 1946 she married Nels Brusven at Wolf Point, MT. Lottie was employed at Swift and Company as an egg candler and butter wrapper. She later worked as a cream tester at the Mandan Creamery. She then worked at the Empire Theater and was a chambermaid at the Roosevelt Hotel, all in Minot. She worked at the Powers Hotel in Fargo for a short time, and over the years she did a lot of part-time house cleaning and also baby sat for Pastor Mutzenberger. Her husband Nels died October 6, 1968.

Lottie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Survivors: Sister, Violet Bjelland, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and several cousins survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels; her parents; brothers, Morris, Lloyd and Floyd Hanson; sisters, Myrtle Granheim and Alpha Coder.

Funeral: Monday, August 30, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday, August 29, 2004, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
