Alvina Brunner 1922- 2003 Alvina was born November 26, 1922, in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Harry and Matilda (Everson) Hiller. She moved with her family to the Granville and Simcoe area. She attended Granville High School where she graduated in 1940. Following graduation she moved to Minot where she did housekeeping work. On February 9, 1944, she married Klamantz C. Brunner at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot. They farmed in the Granville and Deering areas, and later moved into Deering. In 1956 they moved to Minot where they since have resided. While in Minot Alvina was employed at St. Leo's and then with the Minot Public Schools. In later years she made and sold Lefse and was a Demo lady for Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in Minot. Klamantz died June 13, 1994. Alvina was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, and was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and St. Theresa's Guild. Survivors: Sons, Klamantz "Klem" (Harriet) Brunner, Kenneth Brunner and Michael (Cindy) Brunner, all of Minot; three grandchildren, Eric (Lisa) Brunner, Brad Brunner and Robert "Bobby" Brunner; sisters, Arlyss (J.F.) Pennington, Granville, and Ardelle (Stener) Hillerud, Norwich; brothers, Homer (Doris) Hiller, Glen Ullin, and Junior (Gladys) Hiller, Granville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Alvina was preceded in death by her husband, one infant son, grandson, Douglas Brunner, her parents, and brother, Johnny Hiller. Funeral: Monday, December 22, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Saturday, December 20, 2003, from noon to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 21, 2003, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
