Marvin James Brosz 1928 - 2007 Marvin was born March 10, 1928, in Gackle, ND, the son of Oscar and Helen (Kerner) Brosz. He was educated at Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1946. Following graduation he joined the Army. He served in the Paratrooper Division and was stationed in Watertown, NY. There he met the love of his life, Angeline DiDomenico, and they were married on April 12, 1952 in Syracuse, NY. Following their marriage they moved to Fort Campbell, KY. He was honorably discharged in 1953, and moved to Devils Lake, ND, where Marvin started working with the S&L Store. Their only daughter was born in November of 1954, bringing them much joy and happy times. They moved many times with his job and lived in many different states until moving back to Devils Lake in 1973. He then went to work for Sharks until 1978. From 1978 until 1983, he worked for Glickson's in Jamestown, ND, and also for Levi Straus. From 1983 until 1997, he moved back to Devils Lake and worked for Glickson's until they closed. He then went to work part-time at Jerry's Warehouse until his retirement in 2005. Angie died on November 5, 1987. Marvin married Ethel Hensrud in November of 1992. Marvin's love was fishing. Many weekends were spent at Van Hook with his family. As long as he was in the boat with a rod in his hand he was happy. He met many great friends at Van Hook and was liked by all. His five grandchildren were the light of his life. Spending time with them brought him much joy. He was looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild in September. Marvin was a lifetime member of the Eagles and Elks Lodges and enjoyed playing pinochle at the VFW club. He is survived by his wife, Ethel, Devils Lake; daughter: Bonnie (Brian) Wald, Minot; five grandchildren, David Wald (Angella Gjellstad) Bismarck, Jessica Wald, Grand Forks, Nathan Wald, Grand Forks, ND, Jordan Wald, Bismarck, and Scott Wald, Minot; sister, Melva (Clarence) Oak, Jamestown; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and fishing friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Angie.
