2005 William "Bill" B. Broderick, 78, 1933 Skyline Drive Minot, died Sunday, February 6, 2005, in a Minot nursing home. He was born on March 27, 1926, in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Kathleen Broderick. He was raised by grandmother, Rose Helen Broderick in Rock Lake, ND, where he attended school. Bill entered the United States Navy on June 20, 1944, during World War II as a gunner in the Asiatic Pacific during the Philippine Liberation. He was decorated with the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. Bill was honorably discharged from the United States Navy on March 2, 1946. Bill graduated from Minot State University where he taught in the Garrison and later the Minot Public School System. Bill was active in single and multi family real estate development and other related construction activities. Survivors: wife, Vernita, Minot; sons, Dennis (Pam) Broderick, Devils Lake, ND, Maurice (Sherry) Broderick, Minot and Joe (Cheryl) Broderick, Spicer, MN; daughter, Janelle (Marc) Boehm, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan Broderick, Devils Lake, and Broderick, Christian, and Lukas Boehm, Lincoln, NE; sisters Helen (Dan) Gustafson, Minneapolis, MN and Lorraine (Del) Schempp, St. Michael, MN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot. There will be no reviewal but friends may sign a register book on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until noon at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Veterans Section at Rosehill Memorial Park,
