Robert L. Braun 1932 - 2002 Robert L. Braun, 70, 610-1st. Ave. SE, Minot, ND, died Sunday, October 6, 2002, in his home of cancer. He was born on January 13, 1932, in Waterford Township, Ward County, the son of Max and Edna (Reinke) Braun. He was raised and educated on a farm in McHenry Township, north of the Minot Air Force Base. He lived and worked on the family farm until 1954. He moved to Minot and went to work for M&H Gas Station. He married Evangeline Delorme on December 21, 1957, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot. They lived and raised their family in Minot. Bob worked on the construction of Minot Air Force Base from 1958 to 1960. In July of 1960, he went to work for the Minot Public Schools, and worked as a custodian. He worked for 34 years in the school system, and retired from Minot Central Campus in 1994. Following his retirement, he enjoyed playing pinochle, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the Rainbow Garden Club, both in Minot. He was a member and past president of the Minot Public Schools Service Employees Local #52, AFL-CIO. Survivors: wife, Evangeline, Minot; 7 children and 17 grandchildren, Debbie and Wade Person and sons, Wade Allen, Jr. and Brandon, Bottineau, ND, Marion and Mike Woiwode and children, Jason, Jesse and Micheala, Minot, Robert Jr. and Carolyn Braun and children Emily and Chance, Minot, Carl Braun and daughter Breanna, Minot, Ed and Chris Braun and son Gavin, Minot, Bryan and Anne Braun and children Bryan Jr., Brittney, David, Breanna and Brandon, Aberdeen, SD, Russell and Danielle Braun and children Payton, Sean and Kaitlyn, Minot; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sasha and Syann, daughters of Wade Allen Person Jr. and Susie Golus; sisters, Lorraine Goldade, Minot, Marie Nelson and husband Leonard, Minot; brothers, William Braun and wife Barbara, Minot, Marvin Braun and wife Kathy, Minneapolis, MN, and Bernard Braun and wife Betty, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. His parents and one sister, Wilma Ebbertson, preceded her in death. Funeral: Thursday, October 10, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, October 9, 2002, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
