Palma Brandt 1926 - 2002

Palma Brandt, 75, 1724 4th St SW, Minot died Friday, June 07, 2002, in Minot nursing home.

She was born December 23, 1926, Minot, ND, the daughter of Oliver and Alice
(Syvrud) Ness. She was reared and educated in Minot and attended Minot High School. She worked as a waitress in Minot for a few years.

Palma married Harold Brandt on September 16, 1948, in Minot. In 1949, the couple moved to Chicago, where Palma owned and operated a telephone answering service. Palma and Harold lived in Chicago for fifteen years and then moved to Mounds View, MN, where she worked in a clinic as a bookkeeper.

In 1988, the couple moved back to Minot. In March of 2002, Palma entered Manor Care.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot.

Survivors: husband, Harold, Minot; brother, Orrin Ness, Minot; sisters, Lillian Stammen (Lavern) and Joyce Nohn (Leroy), all of Coon Rapids, MN, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents, who both in 1959, two brothers, George and Albert Ness and sister, Adeline Ness, preceded her in death.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at 1 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Sunday, June 9, 2002, from Noon until 5 p.m. and Monday, June 10, 2002, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
