Ellen Bradley 1916 - 2007 Ellen Petersen was born on June 30, 1916, the daughter of Martin and Christine (Hansen) Petersen on the family farm west of Rice Lake in Rice Lake Township, ND. She was raised and educated in the area. On August 22, 1935, she was united in marriage to Harry Bradley. Together they established their home in Rice Lake Township, where they had farmed and ranched since 1947. Harry died December 13, 1989. She continued to live on the farm until January 11, 2006, when she entered Trinity Homes. Ellen was a member of Saron Lutheran Church, rural Minot. She was the Superintendent of Sunday School for a few years, and the Stewardship secretary for the church, which helped collect clothing and stamps for the Lutheran World Relieve. She also made many quilts with the ladies of the church. She enjoyed baking, quilting and gardening. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by, sons, Lyle Bradley, Minot, and Alvie (Judi) Bradley, Douglas, ND; daughters, Dorothy (Alfred) Walhood, Polson, MT, and Marie (Richard) Bluhm, Granville, ND; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Bradley, Douglas, ND; brother, Marvin Petersen, Bull Head City, AZ; sisters, Evelyn Spoklie, Las Vegas, NV, and Lily Muus, Billings, MT; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Vic Bradley, Minot, Leona Petersen, Rice Lake, and Faith Petersen, Minot; brother-in-law, Richard Rosenberg, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Vernon Bradley; daughter-in-law, Cathy Bradley; grandson, Aaron Bluhm; great grandson, Colter Walhood; brothers, Albert, Harry, and Pete; and sisters, Agnes, Emily and Sybil. Visitation: Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Funeral: Monday, December 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot Officiant: Rev.
