Cathleen "Cathy" Loiuse Bradley, 62, 20401 142nd
St SW, rural Minot, went home to be with her Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 29, 2002.
She was born March 6, 1940, at old Sanish, ND, the daughter of
Charles and Cora (Ruland) Austin. The family moved to Tacoma,
WA where they lived for seven years before returning to old Sanish.
They moved to Minot where Cathy attended Washington Elementary
School and Minot High School where she was active in gymnastics
and performed during halftime sporting events.
She married Lyle Bradley on July 16, 1956, in Fairview, MT. The
couple lived in rural Minot before establishing a home in 1965
that is located just 25 miles southwest of Minot.
She was a former member of Saron Lutheran Church where she taught
Sunday school and vacation bible school, was the superintendent,
and was active with the ladies aide. She was a member of First
Assembly of God Church, Minot. She taught missionettes, children's
church, vacation bible school and was active with the royal rangers
and ladies circle.
Cathy loved her home, spending time with her children, grandchildren
and other family members and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed
gardening, sewing, riding horse, reading and her cats. She was
a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly
missed by all.
Survivors: husband, Lyle, rural Minot; son, Greg Bradley
and his wife Vidette, Minot; daughter, Deb Ruland and her husband
Tom, Williston; four grandchildren, Brock Baker and his special
friend Tawhona Jenkins, Rainnie LaDue and her husband John, Williston,
Teia Bradley, Minot, and Ceiairra Baker, Williston; three great-grandchildren,
Jonte and Quincy LaDue and Tyler J. Baker; mother Cora Austin,
New Town; sisters, Carolyn Gilseth and her husband Rod, Mohall,
ND, Rosemary Sundhagen and her husband Don,Tioga, ND; brothers,
Charles Austin Jr. and his wife Diane, Oakville, WA, and Jeff
Austin, New Town, ND; mother-in-law, Ellen Bradley, rural Minot;
sister-in-law, Marie Bluhm and her husband Richard, Granville,
ND, and Dorothy Walhood and her husband Alfred, Polson, MT; brother-in-law,
Vern Bradley and his wife Marilyn, and Alvie Bradley and his
wife Judi, all rural Minot; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins
also survive. Her father, Charles, uncle, Dick Ruland, nephew,
Aaron Bluhm, bother-in-law, Eddie Sateren and father-in-law,
Harry Bradley, preceded her in death.
Funeral Service: Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 11 a.m.
at First Assembly of God Church, Minot.
Visitation: Friday, November 1, 2002 from noon until 7
p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot
