Robert Braden 1943 - 2004

Robert Braden 60, Glenburn, ND, died Friday, January 30, 2004, in a Minot hospital.

He was born on September 6, 1943, in Fairbanks, AK, the son of Wayne and Mary (Hunter) Braden. In 1963, he graduated from high school in Orlando, FL and entered the United States Air Force. Robert married Denise Stiff on October 16, 1971, in Linden, MI. The couple had two sons, Eric and Jeremy. While serving in the Air Force Robert and his family were stationed in Florida, Holland and the Minot Air Force Base, Minot, ND. Robert retired from the Air Force in 1983 and moved to Glenburn. At the time of his death he worked as a supply officer with DOSS Aviation.

Robert was a member of Hooterville Lions and was a past member of the Glenburn Horseshoe Club and the Glenburn Ambulance Squad. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors: wife, Denise, Glenburn; sons, Eric (Barb) Braden, Bismarck, ND, and Jeremy (Jenny) Braden and their son, Connor, Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Wayne (Margaret) Braden, Traverse City, MI, and Dale (Debbie) Braden, Walled Lake, MI; several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral Service: Monday, February 2, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. A second funeral service will take place at the Linden United Methodist Church, Linden, MI.

Visitation: Sunday, February 1, 2004 from Noon until 5 p.m.. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Linden, MI.
