Jeanette Braasch • 1928 - 2010
 Jeanette Braasch, 81, Minot, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 in a Minot hospital.
She was born March 10, 1928 in Rock Rapids, IA, a daughter to Ben and Jennie (Boeve) Kracht. She was raised on the family farm and attended a country school in Lyon County, near Rock Rapids. While growing up, she helped on the farm.
Jeanette married Carmi Braasch on October 30, 1951. They made their home at the family farm near Roseglen. The following year, they moved to the farm north of Minot, where they raised their family and farmed. Jeanette’s priority was the care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, crocheting, playing the piano, and being with others. She touched the lives of others by putting them first. Jeanette resided at Trinity Homes for the past two and a half years.
She was blessed with five grandsons and five great-grand children. Each one had a special place in her heart. They each remember all the special little things she did for them and the meals and lefse she kept warm.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Carmi, Minot; twin children, Don (Mary) Braasch, Minot and Delores Braasch, Des Moines, IA; son, Dewaine Braasch, Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Dean (Terrilyn) Braasch, Minot, Brian (Trudi) Braasch, Minot, LaRon (Tiffany) Braasch, Washburn, Kyle Anderson, Des Moines, IA and David (Hanna) Braasch, St. Paul, MN; great-grandchildren, Brady, Kiya, Mariah, Amber, and Kalyn; brothers, Dick (Alice) Kracht, Luverne, MN, Pete (Bernice) Kracht, Rock Rapids, IA; sisters Henrietta (Lowell) Wirtjes, Garretson, SD, and Albertha (Owen) Flatburg, Sioux Falls, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; a brother; stepfather; three stepsisters, and a stepbrother.
Funeral: Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Homes Chapel, 305 8th Ave. NE, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Monday, March 8, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
