Russell E. Boutilier 1914 - 2009 Russell Edward Boutilier was born June 3, 1914, a son of David and Florence (Manuel) Boutilier, in Britt, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Granville, graduating from Granville High School in 1932. Following his high school graduation, he assisted his parents with the operation of the family farm, located in Granville Township of McHenry County. Russell married Ruby McCabe December 19, 1938, in Towner. They made their home on the Boutilier family farm, where they farmed and raised livestock for several years. He retired from farming in the mid 1980's, but continued to assist his son, Gregg, on the farm. Russell and Ruby recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary December 19, 2008. He was a member of the Granville Congregational United Church of Christ, where he served as a church trustee for nine years, the Granville Masonic Lodge, where he served as treasurer for 52 years, and the Granville Senior Citizens Center. He served on the Granville Township Board as a clerk for 55 years, Granville School Board for over 10 years, Granville Farmers Elevator Board for 10 years, and the McHenry County Social Service Board for 47 years. He was also a member of the Minot Elks Lodge for 24 years and served on the ND State Legislature House of Representatives for two years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and baseball. Surviving family includes: wife of 70 years, Ruby, Granville; son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Mary Boutilier, Granville;grandchildren, Les (Christi), Brad (Lynnell) and John (Michelle); great-grandchildren, Monica, Chase, Stewart, Cole, Ashley, and Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Kent Boutilier; brother, David Boutilier; and sister, Esther Bacon. Funeral: Friday, January 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at
