Nick J. Bossert 1912 - 2006 He was born on December 31, 1912, in Karlsruhe, ND, the son
of John and Elizabeth (Boehm) Bossert. He graduated from Karlsruhe
Parochial School in 1928 and Drake High School in 1932. Following
his primary education, he attended the University of North Dakota
for two years. He married Delores Zaback on October 17, 1938, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Velva. Delores died on March 29, 1984, in Minot. Nick moved to Minot in 2000, and lived at Edgewood vista before entering Trinity Homes. Nick's public service included being Mayor of Karlsruhe from 1949 to 1983. He was recognized with the "Certificate of Commendation" for his 34 years of service to the community by Governor George A. Sinner in 1986. Nick was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the church choir from 1950 to 2001, Men of Verein, and the Knights of Columbus. Bishop James S. Sullivan honored him during the "Jubilee Year of 2000", for Faithful Service to the Diocese of Fargo. Survivors: sons, Daniel (Annette) Bossert, Littleton,
CO. Peter (Linda) Bossert, Minot, and Joseph Bossert, Fargo;
five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Michael
Bossert, Minot; sisters, Mary Klein, Fargo and Martha (Ray) Klein,
Minot; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, January 9, 2007,
