Magdalen Bossert • 1924 - 2006 Magdalen was born July 31, 1924 in Karlsruhe, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Boehm) Bossert. She was raised in Karlsruhe and graduated from Karlsruhe High School. She attended Minot State College and St. Catherine College in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Following College she returned to Karlsruhe, where she was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was active in the church choir. She was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She had an interest in genealogy and belonged to the Germans from Russia Historical Society. She moved to Minot eight years ago and became a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Magdalen was loving, kind hearted, and a supporter of numerous charities. She enjoyed the opera and symphony and attended many performances over the years. She loved to sing and enjoyed doing needlework. Survivors: Twin sister, Martha (Ray) Klein, Minot; sister, Mary Klein, Fargo; brothers, Nick Bossert and Mike Bossert, both in Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Magdalen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Bossert, and brothers, Peter and Fred Bossert; sister-in-law, Dolores Bossert. Funeral: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Karlsruhe, ND. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Visitation Monday from noon to 7:00 p.m. with the vigil Monday at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Sts.
