Madeline Bohn 1904 - 2002

Madeline Bohn, 98 years and 6 months, Minot, died Monday, November 18, 2002, in Trinity Nursing Home in Minot.

Madeline was born May 29, 1904, in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Eustach and Regina (Hoffert) Weber. She was raised and attended country school near her parents' home. She married Pete Bohn on November 8, 1922, in Karlsruhe, ND. They lived and raised their family in Minot. She was a homemaker until her children were finished with their education. She then worked as the elevator operator in the First National Bank building for over 20 years. Her husband, Pete, died on November 11, 1972. Following her retirement, she traveled for a time. She married Tony Bohn on July 10, 1980, and they continued to live in Minot. She entered the Trinity Retirement Home in 1997, and transferred to Trinity Nursing Home in 2000, where she had since lived. Her husband, Tony, died on October 26, 2002.

Madeline was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot for 75 years, the Catholic Daughters, St. Leo's Ladies Confraternity and St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, playing cards, letter writing, dancing and she was an avid gardener.

Survivors: Three daughters, Anne Bowen-Olson and husband Donald, Minneapolis, MN, Theresa Nyre and husband Dr. Verne, Minot, and Clarie Boatright and husband Virgil, Denver, CO; son-in-law, Robert Cook, Minot; daughter-in-law, Pat Bohn, Bismarck; 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Pete Bohn, daughter, Rose Cook, son, Raymond Bohn, parents, Eustach and Regina Weber, two grandsons, James and Mark Bohn, son-in-law, John Bowen, two sisters, Christine Streifel and Margaret Streifel, four brothers, John, Pete, Fred and Ben Weber, and on October 26, 2002, her second husband, Tony Bohn.

Funeral: Thursday, November 21, 2002, 2:00 p.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND.

Rosary recitation and prayer service: Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday, November 20, 2002, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND
