Cameron Clifford "Carl" Blomquist, 28, Bowbells, formerly of Battle View, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident near Battle View.

Cameron was born to Robert and Patricia (Melby) Blomquist on December 28, 1980 in Stanley, ND. He was raised in Battle View and attended school in Powers Lake, where he graduated in 1999.

Cameron began his career in the oilfield shortly after completing high school. He was employed by Ward Williston, J&R, and most recently at Carlson Well Service as a rig operator. He also ranched and was an active member of the family farm and ranch.

He always left a lasting impression and was well known for his quick one liners, impersonations and weak stomach at times. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, working with cattle, and had an avid gun collection. He spent many hours working on motors, tearing things apart and putting them back together the way he wanted them to be.

Uncle Cameron was known for his strength and his large heart. He will be dearly missed by all, from co-workers to friends and family. He went out of his way to make his nieces and nephews feel special and was always ready with the perfect "noisy" gift.
