Richard F. "Dick"
Blesener 1944 - 2009 Richard Francis "Dick" Blesener was born May 3, 1944 in Minot, ND to Francis "Frank" and Magdelen "Lee" (Senger) Blesener. He was raised in Minot and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School. He attended Minot State University. Dick served in the United States Army Reserve from February of 1963 to February of 1969. On July 27, 1968, he married Nadine Anderson in Minot. They made their home in Minot where he was employed at Blesener Olds Inc., Staples, American Family Insurance and Fisher Motors. Dick was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a former member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion, all in Minot. Those who shared in his life, wife, Nadine, Minot; brother, William "Bill" (Joan) Blesener, Minot; sister, Jean (John) Sullivan, Summerville, SC; sister-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Blesener, Waco, TX; brother-in-law, John Anderson, Rugby, ND; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lee Blesener and brother, Robert Blesener. Memorial Service: Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Visitation and vigil prayer service: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guest register Tuesday, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: A private burial will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to Trinity Hospice, Souris Valley Animal Shelter, Minot Domestic Violence Crisis Center, or to an organization of the donor's choice. The Blesener family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown during Dick's illness and now at this difficult time.
