Elsie Irene Kramlich Bertsch 1916- 2011 Elsie Irene Reommich was born June 7, 1916, a daughter of Jacob and Katherine (Schick) Reommich near McLaughlin, South Dakota. She attended the Eureka School and as a young adult, helped at home and did odd jobs. On December 2, 1934, Elsie was united in marriage to Reinhold Kramlich in a double wedding with Reinhold’s sister, Ida and Sam Schaible at Zion Lutheran Church in Ereka, SD, the same church Elsie was baptized and confirmed, all under Pastor Seehase. Elsie and Reinhold farmed near Hillsboro and Ipswich, SD. In 1946, they moved to Yakima, WA, then to Rosco, SD, where she worked in cafes. In 1946, they moved back to Ipswich. In 1948, they moved to Ashley, ND, where thy bought a café and Elsie could bake to her hearts content. In 1963, they sold Reinie’s Café and moved to Minot, ND where she worked at White Drug Café. Later they, along with son Gary, purchased the Airport Café and operated that until their retirement in 1978. Reinhold passed away August 28, 1981. On June 17, 1982, Elsie was united in marriage to Herbert Bertsch. He passed away in December 22, 1995. Elsie will be greatly remembered for her happy disposition and outgoing personality, always willing to help others. She especially will be remembered for giving her baked goods to those around her. Elsie remained in her own home until 2001, when she entered Trinity Homes. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. Elsie is survived by: daughter, Patricia (Leo) Entzi, Fredonia, ND; son, Gary (Glory) Kramlich, Minot, ND; ten grandchildren, Tamara (Jim) Koermer; Gary (Sandra) Kramlich, Jake (Katrina) Kramlich, Rick Kramlich and his fiancée, Katie Griffin, Eddie Kramlich, Tara Kramlich, Tierney (Neil) Morgan, and Joey Kramlich; and Brian (Bonnie) Entzi, and Brent Entzi; Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reinhold Kramlich; husband, Herb Bertsch; son, Floyd Kramlich; step son, Byron Bertsch , brothers, Karl and Herman; and sisters, Martha and Alma She was the last surviving member of her family. Funeral Service: Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot Officiant: Chaplain Luther C.
