Dennis Berg • 1942 - 2006

Dennis Berg, 64, Rural Benedict, ND, died Saturday, September 30, 2006, in his home.

Dennis Albert Berg was born on February 24, 1942, the son of Albert and Gertrude (Scmitt) Berg in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in the Benedict/Sawyer area. He graduated from Sawyer High School in 1960.

On November 16, 1961, he married Shirley Dosch in Minot. They were divorced in 1976.

As a young man, he began his own construction business, Berg Construction, and later purchased Velva Ready Mix, which he was active in until the early 1990's. He had continued to reside at the family farm near Benedict.

Dennis loved his grandchildren and cherished the time he shared with them.

Surviving family includes:
son, Dennis (Theresa) Berg, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Tyler and Megan Berg;
mother, Gertrude Berg, Martinez, CA; sister, Carla Berg, Martinez, CA;
and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Albert; brother, Larry Berg; and sister, Karyl Berg.

Funeral: Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Officiant: Chaplain Don Andrews ~ Trinity Hospital
