Loretta Bergan 1935 - 2005 Loretta Bergan, 70, Minot, formerly of Granville and Williston, died Thursday, July 28, 2005 of a heart attack in Garrison. Loretta Hilda Wolf was born June 1, 1935, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Wiendenmeyer) Wolf in Halliday, ND. She was reared and educated in Halliday, ND, and obtained her G.E.D. in the 1993. On September 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Francis C. Bergan in Minot, ND. Following their marriage the couple made their home in Raub, ND where they worked for a rancher for a time before moving to the Herrington Ranch at Upham, ND. They moved to a farm near Granville in 1959, and moved into Granville in 1970. In 1995, Loretta and Francis moved to Williston. Francis died March 16, 2000. In 2003, Loretta moved to Minot to be closer to family. Loretta was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Granville, ND. She held different offices with the P.T.O. and Music Mother's of the Granville School, the Ladies Church group of the Hope Congregational Church, Granville, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Granville. Loretta was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Williston. She enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, and will be greatly missed by her all that knew her. She is survived by: sons: Ole (Bonnie) Bergan, Spearman, TX; Robert (DeAnn) Bergan, West Fargo, ND; daughters: Cindy (Robert) Pfeifer, Watford City, ND; Laura (Brian) Gotvaslee, Granville, ND; nine grandchildren: Mary (Kevin) Best, Eagan, MN; Jon (Brendi) Pfeifer, Casper, WY; Richard Pfeifer, Watford City, ND; Christa (Brad) Turner, Spearman, TX; Kim Bergan, Spearman, TX, Kerry Gotvaslee, Norwich, ND; Shelly Gotvaslee, Granville, ND; Tony Bergan, and Cassie Bergan, three great grandchildren. Nicole and Nathaniel Pfeifer, and Sam Turner. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson, Kyle Bergan, sisters: Elsie Mohl, Erna Bauer, Irene Hofmiester.
