Robert Benton, 56, Minot, ND, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, in a Minot hospital.

Robert Francis Benton was born April 9, 1952, the son of John and Elaine (Oothoudt) Benton in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot.

Rob was a self-employed carpenter and handyman. He was a soft-hearted man who enjoyed country music, cooking, and most of all tinkering in his workshop. He will be sincerely missed.

Surviving family includes: sisters, Rebecca (Roger) Luck, Minot, ND, Debi Benton, Wilmington, DE; brother-in-law, George Gladysz, New York, many nieces and nephews; his loving partner, Sherri Presscot, Minot; and many many loving friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Jack, and infant brother Gary.

Funeral: Monday, May 12, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Monday from 10 am to service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bread of Life Lutheran Church.
