Lena Rosine Benjamin 1914- 2006 Lena was born on June 27, 1914, in Kramer, ND, the daughter of John and Katherine (Gaub) Kubler. She was reared on a farm near Kramer and was educated at White Spear School three miles east of Kramer. She married Lloyd Benjamin on March 20, 1937, in Towner, ND. They lived in the Bantry-Upham area until moving to Minot in 1941. They also lived n Cambridge City, Indiana, where she worked in a greenhouse and a defense factory while helping Lloyd paint and do carpentry work on houses. She also lived in Lewiston and Deary, Idaho and Soudan, Minnesota. Lloyd passed away on August 14, 1968. Lena was a waitress at the Eagles and cleaned Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot. She then became a live-in caregiver for many elderly people in Minot; they were, Clara Wilson, Nettie Nelson, Oscar and Lillian Brudvik, Pauline Liebelt and Nick Kostenko. She lived in two apartments and her home at 921 11th Ave. SE, Minot before moving into Manor Care in August of 2003. In March 2004, she then moved to 1817 2nd Ave. NW where she lived with her niece Karla Kubler, until her death. Survivors: brother, Otto Kubler, Burbank, CA, sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Benjamin, parents, John and Katherine (Kubler) Rust, sisters, Freda Cook, Anna Brandt, Bertha Gartner, Christina Gaub, Elizabeth Bowden, Lydia Gaub and Martha Johnson; brothers, Clarence, Marvin, Helmer, Elmer, August, Herman, Gustav, Fred, Renhold, and Henry Geigla, Jr., along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral: Faith United Methodist Church, Minot, ND on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 2 p.m. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND Visitation: Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND Officiant: Rev.
