Duane Bell, 52, 911 First Ave. SE, Minot, died Friday, August 8, 2003 in his home.

Duane F. Bell age 52, died in his home Friday at 911 Ave. SE, Minot. He was born to Francis and Mary Bell in Rugby, ND on September 19, 1950. He attended grade school and graduated from Minot High School in 1969. He married Lorraine Rime in 1973 in Anoka, Minnesota. He worked for a time at Nolan's Surge, then moved to Sacramento, California where he worked for E.S.S. where he assembled speakers and overhead door company. They moved back to Minot in 1982 and he worked for the Moose Lodge and was delivery man for the Donut Hole for several years and custodian for Zion Lutheran Church.

Duane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Duane loved to spend time with his son, Michael and going to the flat track races, working with his 1971 Ford Torino. He loved to travel with his wife to all different countries and walk his special friend, Tuskan around Eastwood Park. He enjoyed helping others, especially the ladies of Zion Lutheran Church and talking to his mother-in-law Sylvia on the phone.

Survivors: Wife, Lorraine Bell, Minot; son, Michael, Minot; sister, Gayla Bell, Minot, several nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law, LaVonne Coder and her husband, Norris "Butch", Sacramento, CA, mother-in-law, Sylvia Miller, Minot and his special friend, his St. Bernard, Tuskan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Francis Bell, mother, Mary Bell Carlson, step-father, Roy Carlson, sister-in-law, Linda Martinez, brothers-in-law LeRoy and Larry Rime.

Funeral: Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, ND

Visitation: Monday from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Private Burial at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot at a later time.
