Burnett B. "Bernie" Belcher • 1921- 2010

Burnett B. “Bernie” Belcher, 88, Minot, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 following a lengthy illness in a Minot nursing home.

Burnett was born February 24, 1921, a son of Clarence G. and Edna (Boswell) Belcher in Taylors, South Carolina. He was raised and educated in the Taylor area.

He enlisted into the United States Air Force, being stationed at Minot Air Force Base, Minot, ND. He retired from the Air Force in the 1960’s. Following his retirement, he worked Civil Service at the Minot Air Force Base.

Burnett was once married to Jacqueline Wells. To this union one daughter Gwen, and two sons Roger and Boyce were born. He later married Erna Olson.

He is survived by:
            Daughter Gwen Frierson, Azle, TX, son Roger Belcher, Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren: two brothers Gordon (Sue) Belcher, Taylors, SC, Joseph (Doris) Belcher, Taylors, SC; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Burnett was preceded in death by his parents, son Boyce Belcher, wife Erna, sisters Josephine Belcher and Ruth Masters, and brothers James Belcher and Gordon Belcher.

Service:  Private services will be held at a later date

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND
