Leanora A. Beeter • 1919 - 2009

Leanora A. Beeter, 90, Minot, died Friday, November 20, 2009 in her home.

Leanora Alice Wilson was born on June 22, 1919, a daughter of William and Cleo (Ross) Wilson in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot. At the age of 11, she worked alongside her mother cooking and serving the threshing crews.

On October 23, 1936, she was united in marriage to Albert F. Beeter in Minot. They farmed in the Minot area for a number of years, where Leanora was a homemaker. Albert passed away April 23, 1991. She continued to live on the farm near Minot.

Leanora was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She was always there when someone needed a helping hand and put everyone’s needs above her own, and was loved by everyone she met.

Leanora made the best caramel rolls and homemade noodles.  Every time a new baby was born in the family, Leanora made them an afghan. She never missed a Northern Auction Tuesday night sale.

She was a former member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and was now a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, both of Minot.

            Daughter Janice (Leo) Korgel; daughter-in-law Donna Beeter; 20 grandchildren, seven of whom she raised, Steven Beeter, Randy Beeter, Roxane (Lloyd) Lochthowe, Shelly (David) Marum, Robert Beeter, Melanie (Carson Varty) Beeter, Sheldon Beeter, Karen (Jay) Zimmerman, Brian Korgel, Bruce (Colleen) Beeter, Deanna (Mike) Hansen, Lisa (Jamie) Zietz, Dawn (Brian) Everson, Michael Beeter, Sheryl Blumhagen, Rita (Ernie) Chartnetzki, Stacie (Dan Woodall) Beeter, Rhonda (Nathan) Young, Renee Miller, Ryan (Bev) Beeter; 39 great grandchildren, one of whom she raised: Justin Beeter, Jennifer Young, Jason Lochthowe, Justine Lochthowe, Janelle Lochthowe, Kalynn Beeter, Andrew Beeter, Brandi Marum, Jarrit Marum, Brandon Beeter, Brittney Beeter, Kutter Varty, Levi Beeter, Cole Zimmerman, Katie Zimmerman, Matthew Zimmerman, Konner Beeter, Kaleb Beeter, Wyatt Zietz, Jordan Zietz, Parker Everson, Preslie Everson, Darien Lemon, Dylan Lemon, Harley Blumhagen, Cordell Charnetzki, Kiara Charnetzki, Colton Charnetzki, Dalton Beeter, Noah Beeter, Nicholas Young, Nolan Young, Logan Young, Aric Miller, Hunter Miller, Matthew Flory, Kristian Flory, Shelby Hansen, Ryia Beeter; five great-great grandchildren: Jacoby Beeter, Kyleigh Grant, Autumn Beeter, Adrian Beeter, Tucker Johnson; Sisters-in-laws: Agnes Beeter, Helen Wilson; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Leanora was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents husband Albert, sons Robert, Ronald, Bruce, and Gerald, daughters-in-law Prue and Darlene Beeter, grandson Ronald Beeter, granddaughter Dawn Marie Selsor, great-granddaughter DaLynn Austin-Beeter, brother Harold Wilson and several sisters and brothers-in-law.
