Gerald D. Beeter 1939 - 2004 Gerald D. Beeter, 65, Benedict, ND, died Friday, March 5, 2004, in a Minot hospital. Gerald was born in Minot, ND on February 5, 1939, to Albert F. and Leanora (Wilson) Beeter. He was raised and educated in rural Minot, where he attended Bell School and later Minot High School. While attending school, he was active in Future Farmers of America and enjoyed playing baseball. He married Beverly Edwardson in October, 1957, and they had five children. They were later divorced. He married Darlene Gondringer on July 14, 1971 in Minot. They lived and raised their family in Velva and surrounding areas. In his younger years, he worked as a meat cutter for Taste Rite Foods, Piggly Wiggly and Dakota Meats, all of Minot. He owned and operated an independent trucking company for several years. He then went to work as a truck driver for Porter Brothers, Minot, and worked there for over 17 years before his retirement. He was living in Benedict until the time of his death. His pride and joy was time spent with his grandchildren and family. He treasured the many card games played with family and friends during the holidays. His hobbies and interests included gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and taking evening drives in the country. He was an avid collector of porcelain dolls, and went to many auctions and antique sales in search of them. Survivors: mother, Leanora Beeter, Minot; four sons, Steven, Randall and Robert Beeter, all of Minot, and Ryan Beeter, Benedict; seven daughters, Roxane (Lloyd) Lochthowe, Norwich, ND, Shelly (David) Marum, Berthold, ND, Sheryl (Troy) Blumhagen, Velva, Rita (Ernest) Charnetzki and Stacie Beeter (Shawn Austin), both of Benedict, Renee Miller, Velva, and Rhonda (Nathan) Young, Madison, KS; 24 grandchildren, Kalynn and Andrew Beeter, Justin Beeter, Jennifer, Jason, Justine and Janelle Lochthowe, Brandon and Brittany Beeter, Brandi and Jarrit Marum, Darien and Dylan Lemons, Harley Blumhagen, Amber, Aric and Hunter Miller, Cordell and Kiara Charnetzki, Dalton and Noah Austin, and Nicholas, Nolan and Logan Young; one great-grandchild, Tucker Johnson; sister, Janice (Leo) Korgel, Surrey, ND; sister-in-law, Donna Beeter, Minot; great aunt, Lucille Ross, Minot, uncle, Bernard Beeter, Minot, and two aunts, Agnes Beeter, Minot, and Helen Wilson, St. Cloud, MN. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. His wife Darlene, father Albert, three brothers, Robert, Ronald and Bruce, and granddaughter DaLynn Austin-Beeter, preceded him in death. Funeral: Wednesday, March 10, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday, March 9, 2004, 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Visitation: Monday, March 8, 2004, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson- Larson Funeral Home, VELVA, ND, and on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 from noon to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson - Larson Funeral Home, MINOT. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. Officiants: Rev. Chris Walter and Msgr.
