John Charles Becker, 66, Minot, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, in a Minot hospital.

John was born on April 11, 1941, in Williston, ND, the son of William and Helena (Mundt) Becker. He lived in Wildrose, ND, with his parents on the family farmstead until he was 28 years old. He moved to Grafton, ND, where he entered the Grafton School in 1969. In 1970 he moved to the San Haven Sanitarium where he lived until 1984 when he returned to the Grafton School. John moved to Minot in 1986, where he lived at REM Home and was employed at the Minot Vocational Adjustment Workshop.

John loved coffee and living on his own. He was so proud of his new wheelchair and working at the MVAW where he sold cookies. John was a gentleman who loved watching and spending time with people.

John was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot.

Survivors: brother, Harold G. Becker, Brenhem, TX; sisters, Beverly (Albert) Zimmer, Williston, ND, Helen Bean, Woodland, WA, Marion Lafollette, Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law, Kaye Becker, Williston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen, sisters, Francis Adams, Dorothy Donnelley, and Ilah Robertson, and brothers, Frank, James and Robert Becker.

Funeral Service: Friday, September 28, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot

Visitation: Thursday, September 27, 2007 from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home.

Burial Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
