Lynn A. Bechtold • 1948 - 2004 Lynn A. Bechtold, 56, Minot, ND, died December 28, 2004, in Bandera, Texas. Lynn Allen Bechtold was born on April 30, 1948, the son of Eldean and Minnie (Newman) Bechtold in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot where he attended Minot High School. He was drafted into the US Army on May 16, 1968. He served as a wire maintenance specialist during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. On March 28, 1970, he was honorably discharged. Lynn had worked as a laborer in the construction industry most of his life. He would spend the summers here in Minot, and the winters in Bandera, Texas. Lynn has a place in his heart for birds and animals of all kinds. He had a generous heart for those less fortunate. Surviving family includes: mother: Minnie Bechtold of Minot;sisters:
Gloria Cameron of Mound, MN; Virginia (Donald) Copeland, Sheila
(Reggie) Engh, and Coleen (Bob) Rist, all of Minot; Lynn was preceded in death by his father; Eldean; brother, Morris; and niece, Tina Bechtold. Memorial Service: Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 10:00
