Cecil C. Bechthold, 71, 310 27 Ave NW Apt 10, Minot died Tuesday, August 19, 2003, in a Minot hospital.

Cecil was born June 20, 1932, in McClusky, ND, the son of Robert H. and Louise (Reiswig) Bechthold. He was reared and educated in McClusky. Cecil drove truck for many years and in 1966 he became Chief of Police in McClusky. He married Mona Johnson in 1960 and they were later divorced. He enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo.

Cecil is survived by his companion, Della Bechthold, Minot; step son, Freddie Johnson, McKinzie, ND; numerous step grandchildren; brothers, Robert C. Bechthold, W. Sacramento, CA, and George W. Bechthold, Rio Linda, CA; and sister, Myrna Zueger, Goodrich, ND. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilbert and Harvey Bechthold; and sister, Golda Parkman.

Funeral: Friday, August 29, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Thursday from noon until 7:00 p.m., and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
