Captain Jonathan Bayless, 28, Minot, ND, died January 30, 2009 in Minot, ND

Jonathan was born on December 24, 1980 in Trenton, NJ, the son of Rita Stonehouse and Fredrick Bayless. He graduated from Hopewell Valley High School, Pennington, NJ in 1999 and the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO in 2003.

He was currently Chief of ICBM Training Scenarios at Minot Air Force Base. His past jobs were ICBM Combat Crew Deputy Commander, ICBM Combat Crew Commander, ICBM Combat Crew Evaluations Commander, ICBM Combat Crew Assistant Flight Commander, and ICBM Combat Crew Instructor Commander

Jonathan was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (1 oak leaf cluster), Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Air Force Longevity Service (1 oak leaf cluster), and the Air Force Training Ribbon.

Jonathan loved to scuba dive, ski, he had an interest in clocks, watches, guitars, music and singing.
