Beverly Mae Bartelson • 1947 - 2002 Beverly Mae Bartelson, 55, 700 23rd Ave. NW, Minot, ND, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at her residence. Beverly was born in Beulah, ND, on February 15, 1947, to Albert and Frieda (Schuh) Peterson. She was raised and educated in Stanton, ND, and graduated from Stanton High School in 1965. She moved to Bismarck, ND, and attended Josef's School of Hair Design, and graduated in 1967. She worked in Bismarck from 1967 through 1972. She was once married to Larre Bartelson, which took place on January 8, 1972, in Bismarck. She moved to Minot in 1972, and went to work for Gary's Hairstylist and Barb's Boutique. She continued working as a hairdresser until 1980. She then went to work at K-Mart Corporation in Minot, and worked there from 1984 until the present. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Minot, the North Hill Women's Club, and volunteered at the Minot Hockey Boosters. She enjoyed nature, gardening, and walking outdoors. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, attending church services and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her spirit of caring and sharing, her sense of humor, her laugh, smile, and friendship. Survivors: three children, Andrea Peña and husband Anthony, Broomfield, CO, Brent Bartelson, Minot and Aaron Bartelson, Grand Forks, ND; mother, Frieda Peterson, Stanton, ND; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Peña, Broomfield; siblings, Donald Peterson, Bismarck, Bonnie Adams and husband Dennis, Washburn, ND, Barbara Rupp and husband Charles, Rapid City, SD, and Janice Renville, Great Falls, MT; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her father, Albert Peterson preceded her in death. Funeral Service: Saturday, July 27, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at Faith United Methodist Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Friday, July 26, 2002 from noon to 7:00 p.m. (CST) at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Saturday, July 27, 2002, 5:00 p.m. (CST) at the Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, ND.
