Ann M. Balerud • 1919 - 2006 Ann M. Balerud, 86, Minot, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006, in a Minot nursing home. Ann was born June 22, 1919 in Barton, ND, the daughter of Sebastian and Margaret Josephine Kraft. She was raised and educated in Barton and later moved with her parents to Rugby. She moved to Minot with her sister, Lena. On November 15, 1947 she married Linn Balerud in Minot. Following their marriage the couple lived in Sanish, Riverdale and Deering, before moving to Minot. While in Minot, Ann worked at the North Hill Laundromat and also at the Holiday Inn. Linn died February 16, 1989. Ann continued to live in Minot and entered Trinity Nursing Home three years ago. Ann was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Survivors: children, twin sons, Dennis (Mary Ann) Kraft, San Antonio, TX, and Dan Kraft, Bismarck, Cheryl Richeson, Minot, twin son and daughter, Daryl (Mary Lou) Balerud, Bismarck, and Debbie Forman, Minot, Lynette (Donald) Richeson, Olympia, WA, Bruce (Lori Long) Balerud, Williston, Curtis Balerud, Mandan, Julie Julson and her fiancée, Leslie Zuck, Drake, and a twin, Kelly Balerud, Vivian, LA; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Lena (Palmer) Flatlie, Drake; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Linn; son, Jacob, daughter, a twin Kimberlie Kae Balerud; son-in-law, Joseph Richeson; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral: Monday, January 30, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation: Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
