Harold O. Bakk • 1923 - 2004 Harold O. Bakk, 80, 1800 16th St. NW, #6, Minot, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, in a Minot Medical Center. Harold was born on August 9, 1923, to Ole and Hannah Bakk at Bisbee, ND. He attended grade school at Loe School and graduated from Bisbee High School in 1939. He married Leota Baldwin on October 8,1943 at Bisbee and farmed the family farm until retirement. He was a member of Bisbee Lutheran Church and very active with music directing the choir for many years. He also served on many board and committees in the township, county and state. Harold became a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, ND after moving to Minot in 2000. Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leota, daughters, Shelley Becker and Laurie (Orlan) Honadel and son, Michael (Liz) Bakk, all of Minot; grandsons, Jason Becker, Austin, Texas, and Shawn Bakk of Minot; granddaughter, Lindsay Bakk and great-granddaughter, Adriana Bakk all of Minot. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Thora Bakk and Ragna Weston, brother, Olaf and an infant brother. Memorial Service: Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, ND There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register book on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations to be made to the charities of your choice.
