Jerilyn A. Baker 1949 - 2009 Jerilyn was born on September 20, 1949 in Watford City, ND, the daughter of Lenn and Shirley A. (Judkins) Elton. She was reared in the New Town area and attended school in New Town. Upon graduation she lived in various areas of the United States. In 1976 she moved to Watford City, and later to Williston, Westhope, Granville and Velva where she worked in food service in those areas. She did attend Josef's School of Hair Design in Minot and later taught and managed there. She also worked at Choice Hotel Call Center in Minot and Northrop Grumman Corporation in New Town. The last years she was a homemaker. Jerilyn married John Baker on August 8, 1986, in Velva. Jerilyn loved to crochet, read and did anything she could for her grandchildren. She was a former member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva. Jerilyn is survived by her husband, John Baker, Minot, with whom she was with for thirty years, sons, Scott O. Heim, Hastings, FL, Brad L. (Barb) Heim, Bismarck, ND, and Marty N. Heim, Layton, UT.; seven grandchildren, Kristina A. Heim, Tucker L. Heim, Samantha M. Heim, Kaiden J. Heim, Seth S. Heim, Annabelle M Prevatt and Tyler K. Heim; father, Lenn Elton, Williston, brothers and sisters, Randy D. Elton, Kingman, AZ. Debbie L. Bolken, Fargo, Gary D. (Sandy) Elton, Gillette, WY, Mike G. (Lorna) Elton, New Town, ND, and Mitch A. Elton, Beulah, ND. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley A. Elton, grandparents, Guy and Elanor Judkins and Alfred and Kate Elton. Funeral: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND Burial: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Our Redeemer's Cemetery rural Keene. Visitation: 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot on Monday. The family prefers memorials. Officiant: Rev.
